Teaching Artist

A Global Teaching Artist that influences and empowers young people of many different ages, cultures, and economic backgrounds.
Brittney loves to integrate storytelling, music, and theater games into learning experiences that appeal to different ages from different
backgrounds. She carries a strong belief that exposure to theatre
education can aid in development that will service young learners
throughout their lives and can shape them into becoming well-rounded
individuals.

During her time abroad working in Beijing, China, She aided in social, emotional, and linguistic development through the use of performing arts with children 3 to 10 years old. With Exposure to the Helen O’Grady technique, Brittney was more able to stimulate creativity and concentration in children and still uses the skills she learned to date. Time in Beijing challenged her worldview and later granted her an opportunity to collaborate with Multi Arts Alliance in Cape Town South Africa. She's a firm believer in the power in art influencing culture and culture shaping who we are.

Wait, she’s a author too?

Yes, yes she is! Journey with the beloved Deuce as he endeavors to learn the true meaning of Christmas while his spirited Papa Jim leads the way!

Currently, Brittney works as a Teaching Artist in New York City under the Story Pirates, The Creative Team (CAT) and the Abron Arts umbrella. She also works as a freelance consultant, while developing her own organization The BlackLotUS Project . Her workshops include creative writing, performance, playmaking, and more. Inquire for more
